Inside Cher's former Miami Beach mansion - marble bath and private terrace

Cher’s old Miami Beach mansion proves she doesn’t need to turn back time, or at least she can resort to stunning architecture in a contemporary space.

The music star, one-half of the ex husband and wife duo Sonny & Cher, has sold more than 100 million records. She is one of the celebrity realm’s avid home renovators and flippers as well, aside from her achievements. Now, Cher’s former Miami Beach’s mansion has been put up for sale for an eye-watering amount. Fashion house co-founder Barry K Schwartz, who set up Calvin Klein, bought it from the star in 1996. But it was recently listed back on the market.

Cher’s former mansion on Miami Beach

The Goddess of Pop rose to fame back in the 1960s, and has taken over the charts ever since. She’s been named as one of the few stars to have a number one hit on the Billboard chart for six decades back-to-back.

Aside from the recording studio, she has graced the Broadway stage, worked alongside Christina Aguilera in a hit musical and made countless cameo performances on TV.

Cher’s never been afraid of expanding her talent in movies as well as singing her heart out.

The star has collected an impressive portfolio of homes across the US, including California, Hawaii, Florida and New York. Each left with her signature style.

Cher’s Miami Beach mansion, which she bought in 1993, was home to the Hollywood icon for three years.

It has now been put up for sale for a whopping $42.5 million, reports Top Ten Real Estate News.

12,450-square-feet of luxury

Standing at more than 12,000-square-feet of decadence, the mansion sits in Miami’s exclusive la Gorce Island. La Gorce is an island within the city of Miami, totally private, and situated in Biscayne Bay. It’s a celebrity and fortune fortress, with 24-hour security.

The home itself boasts Spanish-contemporary style, tiled roof and Mediterranean arched windows that allow the gorgeous Florida sunshine to fill each and every room. Sporting six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, three half-baths, and a primary suite that has its own private terrace. The suite itself is similar to some average-sized apartments, with its own sitting room, statement marble bath, two-person shower, top-floor studio and custom wardrobe.

The grand design has an interior courtyard, double-height ceilings, dual staircases for that fairy tale dream, and curved archways.

The open floor plan allows the natural light and Miami sea breeze to sweep across the estate.

The stunning kitchen is cloaked in marble, with a central island to die for and a full home bar. The marble countertops in the kitchen elevate the custom wallpaper.

Not only that, but the fitness center, media room, indoor and outdoor lounge areas are perfect for entertaining.

Stunning water views

Hugging the island’s coastline, there are 158 feet of unobstructed view of the water – almost two-thirds of an acre of pure landscape.

The grounds are lined with palm trees, a fifty-foot swimming pool, cold plunge area, hot tub, sauna, pool house, cabana bath and a sun deck. Just in case you can’t decide how to spend your summer evenings.

Previous neighbors include Billy Joel, Dwayne Wade and Lil Wayne. They must know the pride of luxury as well.
